Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine the appropriate course of action for vehicle repairs.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
- Repair and replace automotive components, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment, software, and tools to accurately identify and resolve complex automotive problems.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and industry standards.
- Provide accurate estimates of repair costs and timeframes to customers, and obtain necessary approvals before commencing work.
- Maintain detailed records of all services and repairs performed, including parts used, labor hours, and customer information.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, tools, and techniques through ongoing training and professional development.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with service advisors and customers to provide exceptional service and resolve any concerns or questions.
Requirements:
- Valid certification as an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) technician.
- Proven experience as an automotive technician, with a focus on diagnostics and repairs.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and computerized components.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and software to identify and resolve complex automotive problems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Detail-oriented approach to work, with a commitment to delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance.
- Strong communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with customers, service advisors, and team members.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
